Champagne Jean Dumangin

To the Origins

The family farm is located in Chigny Les Roses (the name given to the commune in 1902 when the name Chigny-en- Montagne was changed to Chigny Les Roses, justified by the presence of a renowned and admired rose garden in the village).

Champagne JEAN DUMANGIN has ancient roots.

The current family represents the 11th generation.

1991 Jean DUMANGIN and his two children Laurent and François (both graduates in viticulture and oenology) develop the brand by creating the company E.A.R.L Jean DUMANGIN.

Since then, they have extended their vineyards into the Vitry Le François region, a chalky terroir specifically dedicated to Chardonnay.

This investment has helped to diversify the range with the development of the "Blanc de Blanc Terroir" range.

Vineyard location

Maison JEAN DUMANGIN cultivates 8.5 hectares of vines.
including 6 hectares classified as Premier Cru in the heart of the great Reims mountain (Chigny Les Roses area).
including a third of each Champagne variety.
The well-balanced grape varieties make it possible to blend a full range of cuvées.
Since 1991, 2.5 hectares have covered a hillside in the COUVROT vineyard (Coteaux Vitryats).
Entirely planted with chardonnay, this chalky terroir has given rise to the "brut blanc de blanc" and "extra brut blanc de blanc terroir" qualities.
