Champagne Charles Gardet Rosé de Saignée Millésime 2013 is part of Maison Gardet's Prestige range.
This "saignée*" comes from vines classified as Premier Cru de Chigny-les-Roses to create this 2013 vintage. It is particularly expressive in its powerful red fruit flavors.
*Saignée: Maceration of Pinots Noirs & Meuniers together in concrete tanks (maximum 48 hours), followed by racking of the tinted juice, called "saignée".
Liquor content: 6 g/L (crude)
Ageing: 6 years
Tasting :
Optimum serving temperature: between 8 and 10°C
Appearance: Deep rosé with redcurrant highlights.
Nose: Notes of candied cherries and spices (pepper, licorice, medicinal herbs); Floral hints (blackcurrant buds); Impressions of harmony and finesse.
Palate: Lively, fresh attack; velvety structure and impression; aromas of very ripe strawberry coulis and red berries (redcurrant, blackcurrant, Morello cherry); silky texture, long-lasting and well-balanced; long, sensual finish.
