Champagne Jean Dumangin Brut Millésime 2015 Premier Cru comes from the Montage de Reims region (Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes, Rilly-la-Montagne, Taissy, Cormontreuil).
Average age of vines: 35 years
Vinification: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, traditional manual riddling on racks.
Eye: Yellow gold with white highlights
Nose: Contained expressivity reinforces the finesse of the blend. Predominantly yellow fruit, accompanied by a cart of crisp white fruit. Aromatic freshness.
Taste: Powerful, round Pinot Noir. Ample, invigorating and generous. Aromas of white fruit (white peach) and fresh yellow fruit (mirabelle plum and apricot). Rich, invigorating and structured finish.
And in a few years' time? "2015 is the benchmark year of the decade for Pinot Noir in Montagne de Reims. The nose will reveal notes of menthol and roasting, while yellow fruit will be stewed (mirabelle plum jam). This vintage retains a tonic mouthfeel, with a beautiful patina of Pinot Noir. Its structure and uniqueness make it a gastronomic champagne ".
